By optimizing its radiator thermostat, Homematic IP increases the battery life of the popular device to 5 years.
Longer battery life thanks to optimization
The Homematic IP Radiator Thermostat compact can be attached to any radiator and controlled via the wall thermostat, voice command or the smartphone app as required. The latter can also be used to configure heating profiles with individual temperature profiles. This makes it possible to only heat when it is really necessary. Thanks to the integrated window open detection, the thermostat can also be used in combination with a window contact. The device automatically regulates the temperature down when the window is opened and automatically up again when it is closed. This allows users to save up to 30 percent on heating costs and make a significant contribution to environmental protection.
The thermostats can also be linked to many other Homematic IT devices. The identical predecessor model eTRV-C will continue to be sold. However, this has not been optimized and therefore continues to have a typical battery life of 3 years.
