What to remember from Square Enix Presents

Thursday, March 18, publisher Square Enix took advantage of its Presents conference to unveil some of the new products that will soon be added to its catalog. We take stock of what to remember.

The conference was held last night Square Enix Presents. The opportunity for the developer to present us in detail the next titles that will expand its catalog in the coming months. Unsurprisingly, this is the saga Life is Strange who was the star of the evening, with the announcement of True Colors, the new opus of the series which will be released on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, PC and Google Stadia on September 10. For this new format developed by Deck Nine Games, players will be able to follow the adventures of a brand new empath heroine, able to feel the emotions of those close to her. Aware that the enthusiasm around one of its cult licenses is still present among fans, Square Enix also formalized the release this fall of Life is Strange Remastered Collection, which will contain the first two games of the saga, as well as improved graphics.

There is no Life is Strange which made the talk yesterday, since Square Enix also took advantage of the evening to present an unprecedented license called Project athia. Imagined by Luminous Production and announced in 2020, the game this time offered a nice cutscene and a few minutes of promising gameplay. Expected in 2022 on PS5 and PC, this first opus will be called Forspoken.

In addition to these two main announcements, players were also able to discover a long presentation of the new license Outriders, which will soon be included in the Xbox Game Pass. For the 25 years of Tomb Raider, Lara should also be talked about, with crossovers planned in several third-party games, including Fortnite from next week. A pack Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy is also available for purchase, and includes the last three installments of the saga (Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider). Finally, the video game publisher returned to Marvel’s Avengers, announcing a DLC centered on the character of Black Panther, which will be released later this year.
