The Huawei FreeBuds 4i were presented at an online event last February. These are the new and affordable True Wireless earbuds from the Chinese manufacturer, while retaining some features premium in this more affordable product – cost 99,99 €.
They stand out for maintaining some of the assets of the most expensive models in this gadget. Indeed, the new TWS earphones offer a long battery life, active noise cancellation (ANC), current design and promising audio quality.

Huawei FreeBuds 4i detect ambient noise through their microphones, creating a sound wave, and reducing noise. This is the basic principle of active noise cancellation. The underlying algorithm targets the busiest environments, such as public transport, train stations and offices. He was “trained” to quell this buzz.
The new TWS earphones also feature Ambient Mode. This allows users to hear the sound around them without having to remove the earphones.
To do this, simply press one of the earphones to be able to switch between this mode and the active noise canceling mode.
ANC joins Environment Mode in the new Huawei headsets
To reduce interference from ambient noise during voice calls, Huawei FreeBuds 4i includes three anti-interference technologies. Namely, the technology of beamforming; the dual microphone system and AI-assisted noise reduction technology.
The technology of beamforming allows microphones to accurately capture the user’s voice. The dual microphone system features a slit-duct to reduce the sound of the wind. Finally, AI noise reduction technology filters out the rest of the sound.
With these technologies, the user will be able to make calls without any problems, managing to maintain quality, even in noisy environments, or even while on the move (for example, walking, running or cycling).
Autonomy for up to 10 hours of use or 22 hours with the box
Battery life is an important feature when choosing your earphones.
Huawei FreeBuds 4i features a promising battery, inserted in a compact device. When the ANC is off, Huawei FreeBuds 4i offer up to 10 hours continuous music playback or even 6.5 hours voice calls.
In conjunction with a charging box, these earphones can reach up to 22 hours of music playback or up to 14 hours of voice call.
If the ANC is on, Huawei FreeBuds 4i offer up to 7.5 hours continuous music playback and up to 5.5 hours of voice calls.
In addition, the fast charging technology allows for 4 hours of audio with only a 10-minute charge, so users do not have to worry about the battery level when they are away from home.
