OnePlus 9 seems like a good compromise

Of course, there are setbacks compared to the Pro version, but the top-of-the-line OnePlus top model is also more attractive in terms of price.

OnePlus introduced two new top models today, but with the 9 Pro we can already provide a complete test, put it here my click. Compared to the most expensive product, it knows less here and there, but the plain OnePlus 9, which is still being tested, is more affordable, but that’s probably not a problem because while the 9 Pro will hit stores in early April, we still have to wait until the end of the month. However, we already know the price: the variant with 128 GB of internal storage will cost 299 thousand forints in Hungary, which means a difference of 80 thousand forints, and obviously everyone is interested in where the manufacturer has saved in terms of functionality.

Unsurprisingly, there is a setback in camera, display and material usage, the display is “only” Full HD resolution and has only a limited adaptive image refresh rate of the otherwise 120 Hz panel, while the display plane does not curve to the side edges of the phone. The display switches to 60 Hz if you are watching video, for example, but you can’t take a different value, so it’s not as flexible as the Pro. We need to lack the zoom lens, OIS, or resolution and sensor size. also the main data is offered by the main camera, only Sony IMX689 sensor works in it (IMX789 can be found in 9 Trials). There is no difference between the front camera and the ultra-wide module, but the 4K @ 120fps video option has also jumped. There is no official IP protection, the back cover is plastic and the wireless charge is “only” 15 watts. And of course the phone is slightly smaller with its 6.55 inches display.

Everything else is there, so it’s the Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB of RAM, a 65-watt 4545 mAh battery, an UI optimized to the extreme, an excellent ultra-wide camera, advanced audio features and an almost complete range of data communication repertoire with 5G and WiFi 6 standard. We certainly won’t have speed problems, as the display resolution is lower, the hardware hasn’t changed, the phone is lightning fast on our first tests, and it’s just smaller enough to sit in the palm of your hand, although the plastic back is more slippery than the back cover.

Jack’s connector didn’t get on this machine either, but stereo speakers did, and the brand’s trademark mute switch isn’t missing, just as we’ll find the inscription Hasselblad written on the camera island. OnePlus has reserved more special solutions for the 9 Pro, the sleek OnePlus 9 “only” with a very fast, very powerful, very accurate high-speed mobile with lightning-fast charging and a complete data communications repertoire for those who want a reliable and high-quality, fresh high-end machine but don’t want 300 to spend more than a thousand forints for this purpose.
