Sonos’ smart speakers now have the option of playing music in 24 bit. Filigree sound at this data rate has never been seen before!

High fidelity with 24 bit sound from Qobuz

The French music streaming provider Qobuz is now bringing sound with a data rate of 24 bits to Sonos’ smart speakers. The service itself was integrated into the Sonos universe two years ago and is now the first to deliver these high data rates.

In order to enjoy 24-bit, you need to have installed the new Sonos S2 app. Most speakers that Sonos has brought onto the market in recent years can then play it back. The whole thing is now available in the USA, UK, Austria, France, Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland and of course Germany.

How are you all doing? Do you use the service or is 24 bit even a reason for you to switch to the Sonos system?
