Garmin has presented pedals with which mountain bikers can track their performance data while driving and read it out via the app.
New pedals can track performance data
What has long been the norm with racing cyclists can now also be used by mountain bikers thanks to the new pedal collection from Garmin. The company has presented three systems that can be screwed onto the bike instead of the existing pedals. All use either one or two sensors, the latter version only providing data for both legs.
In addition to the cadence, both pedal versions should also be able to measure the total power, the duration. In addition, all systems should also be able to record the time that is spent in a sitting or standing position. In addition, the power phase can be used to indicate in which phase of the pedal rotation the power is being provided.
According to Garmin, the battery of the pedals lasts up to 120 hours and can be paired with a compatible Edge bike computer from Garmin. The measured values can be viewed via the Garmin Connect app.
