Two months after the reveal, Razer’s CEO announced that the futuristic mouth and nose masks would actually go into production.
Gamer Corona Mask Project Hazel is actually made!
For those of you who are new to Razer: Razer is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of gaming peripherals. Razer products are characterized in particular by the eye-catching RGB lighting.
The mouth and nose mask is intended for protection against the coronavirus. The mask has two active fans that can filter at least 95% of all particles from the air. In addition, the mask should be delivered with a special protective cover. The case can use UV light to eliminate all bacteria from the mask. Razer has also built in a microphone function that should make speaking easier.
Whether you are actually allowed to wear the mask on the train or in the supermarket, of course, depends on how the health authorities rate the safety of the mask. I can well imagine that Razer would need additional approval for this. Min-Liang Tan (CEO Razer) announced this week that the mask will go into production. A release date is not yet known. Would you buy such a gaming mask for everyday use?
