The hugely popular PUBG Mobile game has just taken another important milestone in its growth. Tencent announced that the game just surpassed one billion downloads just in time for its third anniversary. This is real proof of its success, although that figure excludes data from mainland China. Changhan Kim, CEO of Krafton, posted a video message on Twitter thanking all the PUBG Mobile fans who have kept the game alive during these three years.

Along with this news, Tencent also announced a partnership with Godzilla vs. Kong in PUBG Mobile. This collaboration will materialize in the form of a special event on the occasion of the film’s release on March 31. In the teaser unveiled on the occasion of this partnership, Adam Wingard, the director of the film Godzilla vs. Kong, also wanted to send a message for the third anniversary of PUBG Mobile. He explains that the game will see the arrival of a new mode in which players will be able to meet Gozdilla and Kong, not to mention whether they will be able to face them or not.

Released in 2018 on mobile, PUBG has continued to grow and bring together more and more players around the world, even becoming number 1 in mobile games for a while. It is this game that defined the genre of Battle Royale on mobile and that made it gain popularity until it became a benchmark in the world of gaming. It is also one of the highest grossing mobile games in the world.
