Ferrari is one of the most prestigious and recognized car manufacturers in the automotive sector. For years, the brand has captivated its fans with models that have offered excellent finishes and exceptional performance.
One of them, the SF90 Stradale, considered the fastest city-driving car in the industry, has made headlines these days after the inclusion of a plug was announced.
Through this connection it will be possible to supply the SF90 Stradale with enough energy to travel 25 kilometers on electricity alone, which, while not much for this hybrid car, can be used by the driver to contribute a little to the environment.
In terms of its technical aspects, the Stradale can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.5 seconds thanks to its trio of electric motors, where one of them has been assigned for the front wheels, thus helping to exercise precise control on the 4-wheel drive. All of this aided by a combined power output of 161 kW (217 hp).
As for the third engine, it is located in the automated 8-speed double-clutch gearbox derived from Ferrari Formula 1 cars. It should be noted that the 3 motors together are powered by a 6.5 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery.
In addition, the Stradale has a small switch on its steering wheel that, when pressed, activates one of the 4 driving modes that the car has. Along with this a cable braking unit that concentrates the regenerative energy with the hydraulic force supplied through the physical pedal.
Likewise, a new electronic Lateral Sliding Control system has been incorporated, which acts by distributing power to the 4 wheels through sensors, making it possible to vectorize the torque in the front electric motors.
And while all that conglomerate adds about 270 kilograms of weight to the Stradale, the team involved in the development of the car made some adjustments that helped to lighten its weight, such as the use of a carbon fiber bulkhead, components made of titanium material. as well as two new aluminum alloys. The result: a power-to-weight ratio of 468 watts per kilogram, making this one of the most advanced cars of 2021.
