Equipped with Wear OS, Google’s operating system dedicated to connected objects, this new G-SQUAD PRO completes the G-SHOCK range.
Casio today announced the release of the GSW-H1000, a G-SQUAD PRO from the approved line of NASA G-SHOCK astronauts. Designed to be particularly resistant to shocks, this sports can dive to a depth of 200 meters, and supports many sports activities, from running to indoor training sessions, including the surfing and snowboarding. It is also the very first watch in the range to be powered by Wear OS, Google’s operating system for wearables.
Designed for sports, the new GSW-H1000 from Casio takes with it an optical heart rate sensor, a compass, an altitude and air pressure sensor, an accelerometer, a gyrometer, a GPS function as well as many other tools intended for backpackers and athletes. The watch’s dual-layer LCD screen provides a monochrome always-on display as well as a color interface. For the most demanding, the watch also offers a customizable multi-display interface, in order to access several data at a glance during a workout. The flexible urethane strap completes the whole thing, and according to the brand ensures a perfect blend of flexibility and durability.
Announced today, the G-SQUAD PRO GSW-H1000 is offered in three different strap colors (red, black and midnight blue). No release date or price has yet been communicated by the brand. In the meantime, athletes looking for thrills can always fall back on one of the old models of the G-SHOCK range.
