The closer we get to E3, the more the list of participants grows, while the dates of the event are shifted by a few days. Check out the latest E3 2021 announcements here.
Not long ago, the ESA, which is in charge of the organization of E3, had refuted rumors concerning certain paid parts of the event. It has been confirmed that the event would be completely free and that more information would be released shortly. This moment has arrived since the ESA returns today with an announcement concerning the dates as well as certain participants having confirmed their presence in advance. For the dates, the event was originally to be held from June 15 to 17. From now on it will be held from June 12 to 15.
As for the editors, the participants who confirmed their presence recently are none other than Xbox and Nintendo, big fish of the video game world. The list of participants is starting to grow in earnest which is nice to see, with some people believing that E3 is doomed to disappear. This year we will therefore find Xbox, Nintendo, Capcom, Ubisoft, Warner Bros Games, Take-Two Interactive, Konami and Koch Media. Other publishers and developers are expected to be added to the list soon, although it is already known that Sony will not. Indeed, the company intends once again to hold its own PlayStation event independently for the third consecutive year, which differentiates it from its great rival Microsoft, which has chosen to join the programming of E3 2021.
ESA has also once again confirmed that E3 will be completely virtual and free for everyone. The organizers said they “ work with international partners to amplify and make content available to everyone for free “. Finally, ESA made it clear that the 2022 edition of E3 should be back as a physical event, although attention is currently focused on this digital 2021 edition.
