On April 8, Lenovo is expected to present its brand new gaming smartphone, but now stolen photos of the Legion 2 Pro burst onto the web.

The family of gaming smartphones is growing from week to week. After the ROG Phone 5, the Nubia Red Magic 6 and the Black Shark 4 et 4 Pro, Lenovo should soon in turn draw a new device shaped for mobile gaming, the Legion 2 Pro. Lenovo should officially present it on April 8, but now it is revealed before its time through images shared on AnTuTu.

Unsurprisingly, the front of the smartphone has a large panel with fairly substantial borders, especially at the bottom. But after all, this is often the case with smartphone gaming, in order to facilitate handling. According to the latest rumors about the Legion 2 Pro, it would be a 6.92-inch AMOLED FHD + panel. We would find a refresh rate of 144 Hz as well as a touch sampling of 720 Hz. Above all, these stolen images allow us to have a first glimpse of the back of the smartphone. Very unusual, this back is divided into three parts, including one in the center housing not only the cameras, but also an RGB logo and a small fan. The presence of an active cooling system is indeed what differentiates gaming smartphones from their traditional counterparts. Lenovo would therefore have chosen to integrate it directly into the shell of its device rather than offering an external accessory like many of its competitors in the sector.
Because we all like to have an accessory so that we can no longer put our smartphone in our pocket!
While some try to be reasonable, others don’t even bother anymore 🤣😁

Under the hood, the Lenovo Legion 2 Pro should house a powerful Snapdragon 888 from Qualcomm, coupled with 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. To power everything, we would find an imposing 5500 mAh battery, capable of being recharged at 90W. For this, we can count on its USB-C port placed not on the lower edge but on the side, in particular to allow it to be recharged in the middle of the game. It remains to wait until April 8 to confirm this design and these characteristics.
