If you don’t want to use a bicycle helmet “only” to protect against falls, you may have found a suitable alternative in one of the smart models.
Smart bicycle helmets come with numerous extras that set them apart from classic models. Depending on the version, they are equipped with rear and / or front lighting, offer an additional control unit for the handlebar and can flash to the left or right. Some smart models can also be connected to the smartphone via an app and play music and the like.
There are currently not too many manufacturers who have focused on the production of smart bicycle helmets. Nevertheless, the probability is high that a lot will happen here in the coming months and years.
One company that is already shaking up the market is Lumos. His smart helmets with the names Kickstart, Matrix and Street come up with a modern design and various settings and functions. The last two models even have a kind of “brake light” that lights up when the cyclist brakes.
