Smartwatches with WearOS can help prevent sunburn

Google added a new feature to WearOS. A UV index for the location of the user is now integrated in the platform’s official weather app.
WearOS mit UV-Index
While the weather apps always only show the temperature and the current weather conditions such as snowfall, cloudy or sunny, you can now also measure the strength of the ultraviolet radiation at a specific location at a specific time (UV index) under WearOS. The higher the UV index, the higher the risk of sunburn and thus also of skin damage or skin cancer.
The new function was announced in a short tweet and should simply be displayed alongside the other information in the WearOS app.
According to Google, the UV index is currently being introduced and should be available for all WearOS watches that can install the latest update.
