Marvel reveals Black Panther 2 title and first Eternals footage

With a video released on YouTube, Marvel looks back on more than 13 years of MCU history and announces what will happen next. The firm has just unveiled the title of Black Panther 2.

As Disney adopts the strategy of double screening for some of his feature films, as Raya and the Last Dragon or Luca, Marvel wishes to recall its attachment to dark rooms in an unprecedented video. Dubbed Marvel Studios Celebrates The Movies, it traces more than 13 years of MCU history and offers us a rich glimpse of what the saga has in store for the future. With the voice of the late Stan Lee playing in the background, the video heralds a thrill on the big screen for the next few years.

Black Panther : Wakanda Forever will be released in July 2022

Since the death of his interpreter, the future of Black Panther was very uncertain. If the house of ideas has not given up on offering the license a second opus, the details of the plot remain however still very secret. The film, scheduled for July 8, 2022, will explore the world of Wakanda alongside characters already introduced in the previous installment. On its blog, the house of ideas also unveils the title of the feature film directed by Ryan Coogler. Black Panther : Wakanda Forever should thus introduce a new black panther. Rumors speak of Killmonger or Shuri to don the costume in this fourth phase.

Scheduled for November 5, Eternals is finally revealed with the first images. The feature film, directed by the talented Chloe Zhao, will take place directly after the events of Avengers: Endgame and will introduce new superheroes. After the blip, tragic events force the Eternals, a very powerful ancient race, to emerge from the shadows to face the Deviants. In the cast, we will notably find Salma Hayek (Frida), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Angelina Jolie (Tomb Raider) and Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones)

Captain Marvel 2 becomes The Marvels – November 2022

As the WandaVision series foreshadowed, Captain Marvel will not be alone in the second installment of his adventures. Carol Danvers is expected to ally with Monica Rambeau, recently invested with new powers after her stint in the Hex. She will be played by Teyonah Parris, who already lent her her features in the Disney + production. We will also discover Kamala Khan alias Ms Marvel who will be camped by the very young Iman Vellani. The film will be directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman)

Guardians of the Galaxy will return in May 2023

The development of the third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy has not been easy for Marvel. After the dismissal of its director James Gunn in 2019, following the discovery of old problematic tweets, the film had simply been put on standby. Quickly, the filmmaker had made his way to the competition. For DC, he put in images the reboot of Suicide Squad, which must be released this summer on our screens. After several petitions and support from Marvel actors, the firm had finally decided to bring him back to its ranks to direct the third installment. This third volume will be released in theaters from May 5, 2023. We will therefore have to wait another two long years before finding Star Lord and all his clique, certainly in search of Gamora. As a reminder, if the character died in Infinity War, his alter-ego from the past is alive and well. No doubt Peter Quill, Rocket and Groot will do their utmost to reform their elite team. The question “Where’s Gamora?” could finally find an answer. On the other hand, we still do not know “Why is Gamora?” “ and that’s a shame for Drax.

A movie Fantastic Four is well underway

It was only a matter of time. After the takeover of 20th Century Fox by Disney, there was no longer any doubt that the House of Ideas would one day adapt the Fantastic 4 comics on its own. Now it’s official. If the firm does not yet give the release date of the feature film, it confirms that the project is still in development. On the other hand, we will have to wait a little longer before knowing who will play Reed Richards, Ben Grimm, Sue and Johnny Storm.
