In a press release, Jim Ryan (CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment) has just announced great news for the future of PlayStation and which should delight players. The firm will join forces with Discord, one of the largest discussion networks for gamers, in order to implement it in the system of its PlayStation consoles from next year.
“At PlayStation, we are constantly looking for new ways to allow players around the world to connect with each other, form new friendships and communities, and share great experiences while creating lasting memories. With this in mind, we are announcing a new partnership with Discord, the communication service popularized by gamers and used by more than 140 million people every month. “
It is not yet known in what form this partnership will materialize, but Discord will be integrated into PlayStation Network in one way or another.
