While Resident Evil Village is finally available, Capcom reveals the bottom of its latest publicity stunt for the game.
Today is the day long awaited by fans of the saga Resident Evil in the world. It is indeed on this date that the eighth opus, baptized Resident Evil Village. For the release of this game, which marks and celebrates the 25 years of the franchise, Capcom has redoubled its efforts and multiplied marketing actions to advertise it. The latest is the sudden appearance of a giant lycan, the game’s fantastic new enemy, drawn in chalk on a hill in England. If for a few days the mystery remained on this work, Capcom has just announced that the creature is indeed a final publicity stunt for Resident Evil Village.
For its creation, Capcom has deliberately chosen this region of Somerset since it is famous for having already identified more than fifty giant drawings drawn in chalk. In addition, Capcom has found this perfect place to recall the eerie aspect of the isolated village in the game, one of the strengths of this one. The lycan is about 58 meters high and 100 meters wide and was designed in less than 24 hours.
An event launch for Capcom
Resident Evil Village producer Tsuyoshi Kanda said: “ The cult series introduced some of the most iconic video game characters, and has always explored new avenues over the years. To celebrate the launch of the latest installment, Resident Evil Village, we’re thrilled to have been able to bring one of the landmark and fearsome new enemies players will face in the game to life in a whole new way.”
This creation joins the many other actions aimed at promoting Resident Evil Village as its release date approached. In particular, we saw giant posters on Japanese buses, napkins in the effigy and size of Lady Dimitrescu, or the creation of two playable demos entitled “ Village “And” Château », Which we were able to preview on PS4 Pro. While the title is finally out, Capcom will undoubtedly be able to breathe a little bit when it comes to advertising.
As a reminder, since May 2, the two “Village” and “Castle” demos are playable on all media until May 10. Do not hesitate to test the game before offering it to yourself.
