Half of those games would be new franchises. In addition, Sony unveils two colors for the DualSense controller.
Sony has said it over and over again, the company wants to focus on exclusive games and first-party games with its next-gen console. She recently announced that she wanted to significantly increase the budget for its first-party games starting this year. In this sense, we learn today that Sony is currently working on no less than 25 different game projects, half of which are said to be entries for new franchises. All these games are planned for the PS5, a little gem of technology released just six months ago.
As for licenses already known to the general public, we expect several games this year. We can notably cite Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarok, or Gran Turismo 7. If all these AAA games are already the envy of all fans, that still leaves a lot of games that we do not yet know the existence. Considering the amount of titles Sony studios are working on, it is very likely that the vast majority of them will not be released for a few years. However, we can’t wait to see what Sony has to offer, especially when it comes to new franchises.
Controllers in cosmic colors
In parallel, Sony has just unveiled controllers DualSense in new colors. It is now available in burgundy red and black, officially called Cosmic Red and Midnight Black, two colors that may appeal to many PS5 owners. It is true that the color white did not please everyone when it was announced, but for lack of other options, disappointed players had to ignore this detail.
If the console itself is currently not customizable, you can now fall back on a controller a little more original. The black for the purists, and the red for the daring. However, it can be noted that the colors available for the DualSense are much less flashy compared to those of the manette Xbox Series. Sony has opted for a more sober and versatile design, to the detriment of the liveliness of the colors.
For the moment, these controllers are not yet marketed. They will be available at an unknown date starting next month. The black DualSense will be marketed for the standard price of € 69.99, while the Cosmic Red will be marketed for € 74.99. However, to be able to take advantage of it, you will have to try to get your hands on the new generation console, which may be complicated at least. until 2022 according to Sony.
