Amusement parks: discover the reopening dates in France

Mickey Mouse, Asterix and Harry Potter are preparing to welcome new visitors to their respective parks.

2021 has so far been a blank year for French theme parks. Closed since last October before the third confinement, the various destinations such as Parc Astérix but also Disneyland Paris have not been able to welcome visitors for more than 8 months. While vaccination is in full swing and the prospect of a summer as normal as possible looms, the firm with big ears is preparing to reopen. In a press release, Mickey invites us to stroll through his famous Marne la Vallée park, from June 17th. In less than a month, visitors will be able to board the park’s famous attractions such as Star Wars : HyperSpace Mountain and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris is delighted:

“We have all dreamed of this moment. The moment when we can finally get together and have unforgettable moments with our family and friends. ”

Disneyland Paris also announces the opening of his new hotel, in the colors of the house of ideas. The Art of Marvel, will offer from June 21 an extraordinary experience for superhero lovers. In a setting inspired by the city that never sleeps, guests of this hotel will discover paintings and works of art which pay homage to the webweaver Spider-Man but also to all the superheroes who once passed through New York.

Visitors will have to respect strict sanitary measures, as after the reopening last summer. Concretely, wearing a mask will be compulsory for all people over 6 years old, on board attractions and in the park. They will also have to practice social distancing in queues, shops and restaurants. Disneyland Paris nevertheless specifies that certain shows and experiences may be canceled depending on the evolution of the directives of the French and health authorities.

Parc Asterix reopens on June 9

The irreducible Gauls will once again welcome visitors within the walls of their village. Since the June 9, the French amusement park will open its doors after more than 7 months of closure. Exceptional sanitary procedures are in place at attractions, hotels, restaurants and shops. Wearing a mask will be compulsory on the whole site from 11 years old and the attractions will be carefully cleaned regularly during the day. 900 hydroalcoholic gel distribution points are available everywhere throughout the Park and in hotels. To limit contacts during payments, contactless is widely recommended in stores, it can be done several times a day depending on the bank.

Hogwarts welcomes new visitors from across the Channel

On the other side of the channel, a little ahead of France, Warner Bros Studios reopened their doors today. The museum devoted to the saga of the little bespectacled wizard has been welcoming visitors since May 17. For this reopening, Warner Bros sees things in green and announces a decoration in honor of the famous house of Hogwarts: Slytherin. In the large room, lit by hundreds of flying candles, elements from the first opus have been added to recreate the special atmosphere of Chris Colombus’ film. Visitors will also be able to discover the original costumes of the most famous of the must-see house including those of Draco Malfoy and Lord Voldemort. But to enjoy its well-deserved Butterbeer, it will be necessary to show a white paw. In accordance with government measures, a negative PCR test must be presented on arrival or pre-recorded before coming to the Studios.
