A month ago, ZTE presented an ultra-promising smartphone in China, the Axon 30 Ultra. After a launch at the beginning of the month in the Middle Kingdom, the brand announces its launch in our regions, the May 27 next.
The Axon 30 Ultra wishes to position itself as a competitor of choice in the face of Galaxy S21 Ultra from Samsung or the recent Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Nevertheless, despite its ultra-premium technical sheet, the smartphone is surprisingly affordable, since it will be launched from 749€ in Europe. For this price, it is already a must-have.
Worthy of the superlative “Ultra”
ZTE’s high-end smartphone has unstoppable arguments. There is a large 6.67-inch 1080p OLED panel with HDR10 support and an adaptive refresh rate that can go up to 144 Hz, at the level of some gaming smartphones. Inside, we can count on the latest high-end SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 888, coupled with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. Finally, we have a 4600 mAh battery with ultra-fast charging at 66W. A liquid cooling system has been integrated to prevent overheating.
On the photo side, the Axon 30 Ultra has four sensors: a 64 MP main sensor with an aperture at f / 1.6, a second 64 MP sensor equivalent to 35 mm opening at f / 1.9, and a third sensor, ultra large. angle, from 64 MP! An 8 MP periscopic telephoto lens capable of X5 zoom is there to complete this premium configuration. At the front, we can count on a 16 MP front camera housed in a punch.
From 749 €, it could seriously hurt its competitors, including the Galaxy S21 Ultra, sold from € 1,259 and the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, from 1 199 €. We will not fail to test all this when it comes out to see if it really has what it takes to play on this field.
