The first public beta of Android 12 is available for smartphones from around ten manufacturers. How to install it?
Android 12 is here ! Google has just made it official during its opening conference of the Google I / O. If it will be necessary to wait until the fall to get our hands on the final version of this new major iteration of Google’s mobile operating system, Android is already available in the form of a first public beta!
However, this beta is not compatible with all Android devices. Only a few manufacturers have the right to it at first. This is the case of Google with its Pixels, of course, but also of Asus, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Tecno, TCL, Vivo, Xiaomi as well as ZTE. If you are the proud owner of a recent device from one of these brands, then you may be entitled to Android 12, starting today.
How do I install the Android 12 beta?
To install this first beta on your device, go to Google’s beta program site, and sign in with your Google credentials. Then, make sure that your device is indeed compatible in the list of supported manufacturers and eligible smartphones. If so, select your make and model, then sign up for the program.
After these steps, you should be able to launch the installation of the Android 12 beta on your device. To do this, go to your Settings> System> Advanced then System update on a Google Pixel. This may differ slightly depending on the brand of your smartphone, and Google explains on a case-by-case basis the models concerned and the exact procedure to follow depending on the manufacturer. However, the procedure remains more or less the same.
Once this beta is installed, you will be able to enjoy the all new look of Android 12, which received a big refresh this year.
