17 years after its conclusion, Friends will return to our screens. The platform will broadcast a reunion episode, the one that will bring out the handkerchiefs.
After several months of delay linked to the pandemic, the reunion of Friends are finally in the box. On HBO Max, the whole cast will gather around a special episode, broadcast May 27 on the platform. As impatience rages on among fans of the iconic ’90s series, HBO Max finally unveils a real trailer, less than 10 days before the release, it was time. Unsurprisingly, we find the entire original cast, with Jennifer Anniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry et Lisa Kudrow. Secondary characters should also pass a head, like the actress who plays the irritating Janice or even Reese Whitherspoon and Tom Selleck. They play respectively Rachel’s sister and Monica’s ex.
It will not be a question of offering viewers an unprecedented episode, more than 27 years after the end of the series. Instead, HBO will offer a show hosted by James Corden in which the actors will have to respond to a quiz on the series, share their best memories of filming and remake iconic scenes. Several celebrities are also expected to make an appearance, such as Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and David Beckham.
No broadcast in France
In France, no release date has been communicated. The HBO Max platform is not yet available in our green lands, this special episode should logically not be broadcast in France. We will probably have to wait for the launch of the streaming service from Warner Media, which has just announced its merger with Discovery, to see this reunion. A little patience then. In the meantime, you can still see or re-watch the entire from the series on Netflix.
