No more need for Apple Music to enjoy your favorite songs offline. From now on, the connected watch from the brand to the apple, allows everyone to download music on Spotify.
You will finally be able to enjoy your music while jogging in the forest. Spotify in its new update, now includes music download on theApple Watch. The goal is obviously to allow its users to enjoy their music offline, without having their precious phone close at hand. This promises to make life easier for the many athletes who use the wearable during their sessions. Only streaming was offered, but in areas not covered by the cellular network, it was until then impossible to listen to a song. To access this new feature, offered for a long time on the mobile and desktop versions of the application, you will need go to the downloads tab. Then you can choose to download a playlist to Apple Watch directly from your phone. It will also be possible to do this with your connected watch, by clicking on the three small dots next to your song or podcast of the moment. Like on mobile, all downloaded titles will have the green arrow logo on the side.
A gradual deployment
Early adopters can already benefit from this update. The deployment being gradual, it should be available to everyone in the coming weeks. You will need to update your application to see it appear. In its press release, Spotify specifies: “This is the first iteration of the popular download experience for Spotify on the Apple Watch. We want to hear from you, so head over to our Community page to share your feedback. As always, we are continually improving the overall experience. ”
Spotify is also working on a high resolution offer. The firm announced this switch to high fidelity audio a few months ago. She did not specify a launch date, but may well step up the pace to counter Apple Music.
