Huawei today introduced its latest True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headsets. They’re called Huawei FreeBuds 4, and they inherit the first-ever Open-Fit Active Noise Canceling (ANC) technology from the previous generation. cost from € 169.99 in Portugal.
The headsets feature open-fit ANC 2.0 technology and aim to assert themselves for comfort, high-resolution sound quality and intelligent audio connectivity. Can be paired with two devices at the same time, available in white and black/silver.
The new TWS Huawei FreeBuds 4 headsets have arrived
They are more than just headphones. The new True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headsets stand out for their open-fit ANC 2.0 technology, comfort, high-resolution sound quality and intelligent audio connectivity.
As the brand points out, the Huawei FreeBuds 4 offer the user an open-fit ANC listening experience to a whole new level. Its format, however, is quite similar to that of previous generations, with some AirPods Pro features.
Active noise cancellation elevates these Huawei headphones
According to the manufacturer, the technology now included is the result of nearly two years of continuous investment in Innovation & Development. Thus, the work accumulated over the years has now been poured into the new FreeBuds 4.
The absolute highlight goes to the dual microphone noise canceling technology. An implementation capable of providing improved noise canceling performance.
In fact, these are the first TWS Open-Fit headphones to use this technology, ensuring that the microphones pick up and eliminate ambient noise much more accurately, reaching industry-leading levels.
Adaptive Ear Matching (AEM), o segredo do ANC
To effectively improve noise cancellation in different scenarios, Huawei FreeBuds 4 uses Adaptive Ear Matching (AEM) technology. Here, once again being the industry’s first TWS Open-Fit headset to do so.
In summary, when noise cancellation is activated, the earphones automatically detect the shape of the wearer’s ear and determine the optimal noise canceling setting for each, among 16 different modes.
It is, therefore, an asset very similar to what we can find in Apple’s AirPods Pro, a product with which they compete.
Sound quality has been improved in FreeBuds 4
Huawei FreeBuds 4 come equipped with a diaphragm composed of Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP). This component supports a frequency range of up to 40kHz, providing high resolution sound quality.
These Bluetooth headsets are also made up of a 14.3 mm dynamic driver. Thus allowing to reproduce bass sounds even more impressive compared to previous generations of this product.
Furthermore, compared to FreeBuds 3, Huawei FreeBuds 4 improves the sound pressure, and the bass pipe volume is increased by 15%. Something that allows for an enhanced resonant effect of the air and diaphragm.
Autonomy for up to 4 hours (without ANC) and 2.5 hours with ANC
With ANC turned off, Huawei FreeBuds 4 offer up to 4 hours of continuous music playback. Together with the charging box, these headphones can achieve up to 22 hours of music playback.
If ANC is on, Huawei FreeBuds 4 allow up to 2.5 hours of continuous music playback.
Plus, the fast charging technology delivers 2.5 hours of audio with a charge of just 15 minutes. This so users don’t need to worry about battery level when they’re out and about.
