Let’s go a bit to the category “gossip in the world of technology” to comment on a story that just published the founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos.
The richest person in the world (a little less since he got divorced, but still, in the first place), has decided that he will fly into space with his brother, whom he considers his best friend.
This is what he has commented on in a video that he just published on his Instagram account an hour ago and that is already close to 200,000 reproductions (it will surely pass one million before the end of the day). An emotional video with photos from her childhood, “I’ve always wanted to go to space” comments, and a date, July 20.
They will do it on a rocket built by Bezos’s space company, Blue Origin. We already knew that it would be the first flight with a crew, but we did not know that Bezos himself would participate.
I want to take this flight because it is what I have wanted to do all my life. It’s an adventure. It’s something very important to me.
The Bezos brothers will fly to the edge of space aboard the reusable rocket New Shepard by Blue Origin. In the capsule there is room for six passengers inside and large windows, to enjoy the views.
The rocket will lift off from Earth to línea Kármán, 100 kilometers above sea level, then the capsule will detach from the thruster and the passengers will be able to see the curvature of the earth and experience weightlessness. The thruster and the capsule will land separately.
It will surely be quite an event, with thousands of people watching the capsule land in the West Texas desert with the help of a parachute.
In addition to Jeff and Mark Bezos, the winning bidder in an ongoing online auction will claim a seat on the flight. The auction ends on June 12 and he is currently bidding for $ 2,800,000, money that will entitle him to travel into space and sit alongside Jeff Bezos on a historic journey.
