Master of the Universe: Revelation, the Musclor series is revealed in a trailer

This summer, Netflix is bringing Musclor back for a new animated series. Called Master of the Universe: Revelation, it will be broadcast from July 23 on the platform. Check out the trailer.

Netflix will bet on nostalgia this summer, bringing back one of the iconic animated series of the 80s. Musclor (or He-Man in Shakespeare’s language) will be at the heart of a new animated production that should transport us. 40 years after the plot of the main series. Musclor and his comrades return to battle against the fierce hordes of Skeletor. Teela reunites the team to solve the mystery of the Sword of Power in a race against time to restore Eternia and prevent the end of the universe. Yesterday, during its Geeked Week, the platform has unveiled a first trailer of its program and we find an aesthetic very close to that of the original cartoons. With “I Need a Hero” in the background, which reinforces the nostalgic aspect of the sequence, we obviously find Musclor in the middle of a fight with Skeletor.

In the casting, we find a regular dubbing: Mark Hamill. The actor, famous for having played Luke Skywalker on the big screen, will lend his voice to the no less famous Skeletor. Hamill is not his test turn since he worked on the series Batman from the 90s. He then played the Joker. He will be joined by several other small screen stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar. The American actress, who played Buffy for nearly seven years, will lend his voice to Teela. Netflix will also dig in the side of Game of Thrones and recruits Lena Headey, Cersei in the HBO series. She will find Liam Cunningham (Sir Davos), in the shoes of the heroic Master of arms. Musclor will be voiced by Chris Wood, who we have already met in The Vampire Diaries and Supergirl.

See you on July 23 to discover the first season of Master of the Universe : Revelation on Netflix.
