OnePlus Nord CE 5G, the basis for value for money

One year after launching its new Nord range, the Chinese manufacturer returns with excellent value for money, here is the OnePlus Nord CE 5G.

Last year with the North range, OnePlus had made a change of direction that had surprised more than one. Indeed, the Chinese manufacturer had opted for a kind of homecoming to offer the best possible smartphone at an ultra-low price. This year, here is the new OnePlus Nord CE 5G, new value for money from the manufacturer and for those who are wondering, CE is for Core Edition.

The screen and the photo

Like its predecessor, there is a flat screen on the OnePlus Nord CE 5G with a diagonal of 6.43 inches. The definition is still Full HD + with support for HDR10 + and above all a refresh rate of 90Hz. There is also the Fluid AMOLED panel which also reduces nearly 40% of blue lights. Exit the double camera on the front for a single device. On the finish side, we obviously find a glass back with two very successful colors, a silver-gray and a turquoise blue.

For the rear camera unit, it is made up of three cameras. We therefore have a main camera with a wide-angle lens, optical stabilization and a 64-megapixel sensor, an ultra-wide-angle with an 8-megapixel sensor and a black & white with a 2-megapixel sensor.

The characteristics of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G

On the technical side, it is now a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. With this range of SoC, no bad surprises, it will not be lacking on a daily basis and is able to manage everything without batting an eyelid. Yes, it’s not a high-end SoC like on the OnePlus 9 but in the user experience it won’t show. Besides, we find 6GB, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of internal memory in UFS 2.1, a 4500mAh battery with Warp Charge 30T Plus fast charging and of course Android 11 with Oxygen OS 11. We will finally note the return the 3.5mm jack port and also the USB-C output in USB 2.0, one of the small concessions to arrive at a contained price.
