Netflix has shared the first images from the second season of The Witcher. She will also organize an event dedicated to the witcher, next July.
Barely two months ago, Netflix announced the end of the shooting of season 2 of The Witcher. The series, which is among the most popular on the platform, is due to return for a second round of episodes with Henry Cavill in the title role. To make fans wait until its release, which should take place before the end of 2021, the red N has just unveiled a first teaser. Centered on the character of Ciri, these first images herald the arrival of new characters and the exploration of new destinations. On his Twitter account, Netflix Geeked has also analyzed the sequence for our greatest pleasure. In this sequence of a few seconds, we find the young Ciri who has transformed into a warrior alongside her mentor (who cannot be seen). She appears to have joined Kaer Morhen, an ancient fortress in the mountains that is used as a home and school by the Witcher Guild. This is undoubtedly where Ciri will learn the precepts of her monster slayers and develop her powers. We can also briefly see what looks like a new character, from the back. Netflix, however, did not specify his identity. It must be said that many will join the cast of this second season. We should thus find Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) as Nivellen. This cursed man is a bear-headed humanoid creature with huge ears and a frightening mouth. The actor, who played Tormund in the HBO series, should cross paths with Henry Cavill in this second round of episodes. We will also find Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra respectively in the skin of Ciri and Yennefer. Dandelion, the troubadour who had regaled us with his “Toss a Coin to The Witcher”, will once again be played by Joey Batey.

This will be an opportunity for CD Projekt and Netflix to unveil new images from season 2, but also to put the spotlight on the video game saga. Nevertheless, the studio clarified that no new game would be announced during this conference. Netflix and CD Projekt nevertheless invite all Geralt De Riv fans to live on Twitch and YouTube.
