Great news for Dwayne Johnson and DC fans. The actor has just announced on Twitter the end of the shooting of the first feature film Black Adam. It is due out in July 2022 on our screens.
“That’s a Wrap”. Dwayne Johnson has just announced the end of filming of Black Adam on Twitter. The film, which began shooting in April, is due to land on our screens on July 27, 2022. This long-term project, which will have required more than 7 years of development, is coming to fruition and promises to “Upset the hierarchy of the DC universe” according to his interpreter.
After unveiling a first image of her costume last May, Dwayne Johnson was less stingy in detail. In a video posted on his Twitter account, the actor gives us an overview of the film set as well as the look of his character. He will be dressed all in black and should pay homage to the paper character developed by DC Comics. Moreover, we will probably have to wait a little longer to find out more. Now, that everything is in the box, DC and Warner Bros could present us with a first trailer in the next few months.
That a wrap on BLACK ADAM⚡️
Hardest undertaking of my entire career physically & mentally.
Worth every second.
Boundless gratitude to my 1,000+ crew members, actors and director, Jaume Collet-Serra.
The hierarchy of power in DC Universe is changing.

A 5-star cast
In addition to Dwayne Johnson, spectators will be able to find Aldis Hodge (Invisible Man) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All The Boys) in that of Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets) as Cyclone. Pierce Brosnan will also be there and should lend his features to a certain Dr. Fate. The realization was entrusted to Jaume Collet-Serra (Jungle Cruise).
This first film will have for vocation to introduce the character well known to the amateurs of comics before the confrontation that is announced in Shazam 3. Ainis, the character played by Zachary Levi should meet Black Adam at the earliest in 2025. In the meantime, we will find Shazam on our screens in 2023 for the second opus of these adventures, still under the leadership of David F. Sandberg.
