Gamified workouts are getting more and more popular with users. This is impressively demonstrated by Ring Fit Adventure for the Switch. Peloton would like to get on this train and is bringing his first training game on his spinning bikes.
Lanebreak – first training game for Peloton bikes
Peloton launches its first fitness game with “Lanebreak”. Available on the fitness company’s stationary bikes, the rhythm-based game has a simple structure: players control a rolling tire on a track by pedaling and changing lanes with the resistance button in the face of multiple obstacles. In addition, the entire game is provided with a music soundtrack.
Lanebreak is the result of months of tests in which selected Peloton users played mini-games in two-week projects. The idea behind the game is actually the same as with other gamified workouts: the peloton users should be encouraged to exercise more through rewards and progress. At the moment, Lanebreak is still in early access mode, a full introduction is planned for winter 2021.
It will be interesting to see whether the game will actually prevail, because there is a lot of competition in the field of fitness games.
