ZTE’s Axon 30 5G will get an invisible front camera and launch at the end of the month.
In September 2020, ZTE had astonished its world by unveiling theAxon 20 5G, a smartphone that had the particularity of integrating a front sensor under its screen, thus abandoning the notch, the punch or the sliding drawer.
However, if the innovation had something to seduce, the smartphone has been quite disappointing in practice according to those who have been able to test it. Not only the location of his camera « invisible » was quite marked, but the quality of it left much to be desired. Missing the light, this sensor produced in particular rather dull pictures.
This half-failure has not prompted ZTE to leave its technology behind. The brand intends to put the cover back with the Axon 30 5G, a very promising smartphone which will once again integrate a selfie camera hidden under its 6.92-inch OLED panel. It would still be a 16 MP sensor, according to a certification filed with the TENAA and identified by Playfuldroid.
At the back, we would find four photo sensors, placed in two large circles, like the future Huawei P50 or even Honor 50. The main sensor would be 64 MP, and there would also be an 8 MP ultra wide-angle, a 5 MP macro and a 2 MP depth sensor.
Finally, inside, the smartphone should accommodate a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 coupled with 6, 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage. ZTE’s Axon 30 5G will be officially unveiled on July 27, confirms the brand.
