Zoom already allows third-party applications to be integrated into virtual meetings

Zoom continues to take steps to meet the needs of the hybrid working model with the arrival of the general availability of Zoom Apps and Zoom Events.

Zoom Apps allows users to integrate third-party applications within meetings, while Zoom Events is the new unified platform that encompasses the creation of virtual events of all kinds.

With regard to Zoom Apps, users will be able to integrate solutions such as Asana, Dot Collector, Dropbox Spaces o SurveyMonkey Enterprise, entre otras, having in total about 50 options available at the moment.

Interestingly, among the 50 available solutions, Heads Up! Is striking, far from being a solution for productivityIt is more of a party game with which to liven up the wait before seriously participating in the meetings.

And regarding Zoom Events, it is a unified platform for the creation of virtual events of all kinds.

From Zoom they also point out that:

Zoom Events offers features such as event centers, dedicated corporate virtual event spaces, customizable registration, and networking via a chat-enabled virtual event lobby. Zoom Events also enables event-specific reports related to registration, attendance and ticketing

According to Eric S. Yuan, founder and CEO of Zoom:

I am delighted to see our vision for the platform expand through Zoom Apps and Zoom Events, as the world embraces hybrid work, empowering the workforce today and in the future.

On the other hand, Zoom points out that will continue to offer OnZoom, its event platform focused on brands and small businesses, allowing them to reach consumers by “creating, hosting and monetizing events, including fitness and cooking classes, theater presentations and more”, although this platform will continue being available in beta phase, they emphasize.

In this way, and with the existing competition, Zoom continues to take steps to be the perfect solution for the creation of virtual meetings, trying to maintain the position it has managed to achieve throughout the pandemic, and with an increasingly focused focus in the hybrid work model, like many other communication platforms.

It will already be a matter of companies evaluating the capabilities that Zoom offers to, where appropriate, make it their main platform for creating virtual meetings with colleagues and other available attendees who will participate remotely.
