Compatibility of the Apple Watch 7 bracelets with other models is questionable

The presentation of the new Apple Watch generation is expected in a few days and after the design rumors, the question of the compatibility of the new bracelets with older watch models is widespread.

Does the redesign of the Apple Watch 7 make it difficult to swap armbands?

According to the Bloomberg report, the models of the upcoming Apple Watch 7 should be available in new sizes. While the first generation of smartwatches allowed a choice between a 38 mm and a 42 mm model, Apple changed the display sizes for the Series 4 to 40 mm and 44 mm. The new watches should now be a little bigger and be available in a 41 mm and 45 mm version.

And although this is only a millimeter, the question arises whether the bracelets in the new series also fit older models and vice versa. Because what was the case so far could have been done with the rounding of the edges and the flattening of the housing.

It remains to be seen whether the bracelets of the new models will be compatible. In the past, Apple has already made changes to the wristbands, which then did not lead to an incompatibility.
