With retroactive effect from September 1, Luc Donckerwolke took over the management position of Chief Brand Officer at Genesis. He will retain his previous position as Chief Creative Officer of the Hyundai Motor Group. With this appointment, the Korean premium manufacturer underpins its focus on design, Genesis’ an integral part of its brand philosophy.
Donckerwolke joined Hyundai in 2016 as Chief Design Officer of the Genesis, Hyundai and Kia brands. In March 2020 he took a creative break until he returned to work as Chief Creative Officer for the Hyundai Motor Group in Europe in November of the same year.
“It is a great honor for me to take on a leadership role in the future of the Genesis brand,” says Donckerwolke.
Another leadership position was created for Mike Song. From now on, he will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer. In their new role, Song and Donckerwolke will report to Jay Chang, global head of the Genesis brand.
