With Samsung’s contactless payment service, customers can pay quickly and easily. Now the company has expanded Samsung Pay so that it can be used with a shared account.
App extension brings new functions for Samsung Pay
Samsung has responded to a frequently requested feature and integrated it into its Samsung Pay payment service with an app extension: the deposit of joint accounts.
The aim is to make it easier for families, couples or shared apartments to pay quickly, securely and without contact. The update is available immediately and enables people who share an account with Samsung Pay to register with a joint account and link it to the respective smartphone or smartwatch.
Those who have already registered with Samsung Pay with different accounts can easily contact the company’s customer service via chat, email or telephone, and the employees will then help with switching the account on file to the joint account.
We want to make Samsung Pay available to as many people as possible. Therefore, we deal very closely with customer feedback and allow the wishes to flow into further development. In March we brought Samsung Pay to our Galaxy Watches, now we are creating the long-awaited offer for joint accounts, so Thomas Keller, Head of Samsung Pay Germany.
The update is also intended to improve the registration process.
