When Mercedes-Benz prides itself on unveiling an electric concept in its Maybach range, it is not to make up the figure. The EQS SUV intends to impress.
On the occasion of the IAA Mobility show in Munich, Mercedes-Benz lifted the veil on a new concept for the Maybach range, in other words the very high-end which wants to rub shoulders with the champions of the sector that are Rolls-Royce and Bentley. . THE’EQS SUV is a monster on four wheels with a design that will not leave anyone indifferent.
Design grand luxe
Maybach wants to show its power with an imposing calanque grid, a two-color profile (black and red) which underlines a certain aggressiveness, as in the rest of the range. The manufacturer gives few technical details, except that the range will be 600 km according to the WLTP standard.
In the end, it is the interior that attracts the most attention. The driver will be in front of a huge 56-inch screen, which simply takes up the width of the dashboard. The front passenger will be entitled to a 12.3-inch OLED screen. Premium materials abound: leather, woodwork, rose gold, and (faux) fur for flooring.
The passengers in the back will be the best off with a large space for the legs and a luxury of refinement to make them as comfortable as possible! A “lounge” space, as the brand announces, for luxurious travel. Mercedes-Benz will launch an EQS SUV in two years, while Maybach will offer its own in 2024. The prices remain to be known, but in this range everything is very expensive …
