Its delivery is fixed in the 275 CV and is offered with manual and automatic box, which is new. And how could it be otherwise, it is all-wheel drive.
The brand It does not detail whether or not it will arrive in Europe, so it could be left out of our market as has happened with the new Subaru BRZ. Not in vain does it resort to any electrification to shorten emissions.
With 275 hp and 354 Nm and all-wheel drive with torque vectoring
In this new installment the Subaru WRX assembles, as expected, the engine four cylinder turbo boxer what cubes 2.4 liters, but the delivery stays in the 275 CV, far from the 300 CV that were rumored. A power that pairs with a maximum torque of 345 Nm, available between 2,000 and 5,200 rpm.
This block can be accompanied by two gearboxes: one six-speed manual, which has been optimized for the occasion, and the new Sequential automatic Subaru Performance, eight-speed, designed to offer faster upshifts and downshifts.
Either of these transmissions, carries the force to the two axes through the well-known all-wheel drive with torque vectoring Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
But also, the finish GT adds more benefits at the service of dynamics, for example a adaptive electronic suspension that can be modified in up to three positions: Comfort, Normal and Sport.

For the first time, the Subaru WRX is based on the Subaru Global Platform architecture, which allows for a lower center of gravity and improved safety and performance. Thus, the chassis increases torsional stiffness by 28%.
In addition, it also improves its stability, thanks to the rear stabilizer bar, which is mounted directly on the chassis and helps to minimize roll when cornering, especially at high speeds.
The set is completed with ventilated disc brakes for both the rear and front wheels.
The new Subaru WRX it is quite continuous, with the classic air vent dominating the bonnet or the hexagonal grille with the honeycomb grille. However, this calender is something bigger and the LED optics, although they are sharp, follow the line of the latest releases of the brand such as the Subaru Outback.
Subaru has put the accent on improve aerodynamics, which materializes in air vents for the wheel arches, the generous inlets in the front fenders or the discreet rear spoiler.
In addition, the wheel arches have also been designed to reduce air resistance as little as possible, a solution that advanced the concept VIZIV Performance STi.
On the other hand, it has also sought to reduce weight: thus the front fenders are now made of aluminum, which helps according to the brand has to reduce the weight of the set by 2.2 kg.
The alloy wheels can be selected in two sizes, from 17 or 18 inches, offered in a matte finish on the WRX GT, and the taillights feature a volcanic magma-style design.
