The founder of Amazon, that of Tesla .. the greats of technology are betting on the Space Technology, and now it is the co-founder of Apple who announces the Privateer Space company on Twitter.
At 71, Steve Wozniak, known for the design of the Apple II, says it is a different space company, but at the moment there are no details about what it will do.
Has shared a video on Youtube speaking of the effort, and there is a published website that does not give details either, but in the video you can read:
Privateer Space is working to keep space safe and accessible to all of humanity. Co-founded by Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak and Ripcord Founder Alex Fielding, Privateer will offer private audiences a glimpse into the companies’ future plans at AMOS Tech 2021 in September 2021 at the AMOS conference in Maui Hawaii.
In the web you can see the slogan of “The sky is no longer the limit” and the Moon in the background, it gives some clue, in fact it sounds like a private base on the Moon, but we will only know more details in the Conference on Advanced Space Surveillance Technologies and Maui Optics (AMOS) scheduled for September 14-17 in Maui, Hawaii. The event will address spatial awareness, and educational institutions will participate, as well as the government and the private sector.
Privateer Space is a client of Desktop Metal, a 3D printing company that allows users to work with Titanium. Said company comment that the space debris problem will be addressed and high-strength titanium may have something to do with it.
It would really be interesting if the two points were covered, both the space debris and the base on the moon, a base that could help to better observe the universe and serve as a “stop” for interplanetary travel.
