Emmy Awards: Marvel takes home its first awards

Less than a week before the official ceremony, the Emmy Awards have already rewarded WandaVision for its sets and costumes.

This weekend marked the launch of the Emmy Awards. On September 12, the academy awarded the first awards for small-screen works, all technical. The bulk of the competition has therefore not passed, but Disney + is already leaving with two statuettes. These are the first for the house of ideas, which obtains those intended for best scenery for a narrative program and best costumes for an SF and Fantasy production. It’s no surprise WandaVision which obtains the favors of the academy.

Jac Shaeffer’s series, named in 23 categories, could well rob the ceremony next week. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are respectively seeking the titles of best actress and actor in a mini-series. Katherine, Agathan Harkness in the Disney + series, is in the running for the best supporting role.

The Lady’s Game has put its competitors checkmate

The series, released in October 2020 on Netflix, was a hit with no less than 9 statuettes to his credit. The Creative Arts Emmy awarded her in several categories, including Best Direction for a Mini-Series and Best Original Music for a Mini-Series. Last July, The Lady’s Game had broken the record for the number of nominations for a single production, with no less than 116 potential rewards.

Ludwig Göransson always on top

Rising star of original music, Ludwig Göransson has established himself in a few years as a reference in Hollywood. The composer, who has notably worked on Tenet and Black Panther, has just added a new trophy to its prize list. It won the title of best original music for The Mandalorian.
