In May Florian reported about a Fitbit feature that Fitbit watch wearers can detect snoring. This is exactly what is now being rolled out for the Fitbit Charge 5 and Versa 3.
Snoring detection – 2 values are measured
The new feature is simply activated on the “Sleep” page of the app and can determine 2 values during use. On the one hand, the noise level is measured when snoring and, on the other hand, the watch also keeps an eye out for special snoring noises via the microphone. These are then output as snoring events.
However, the tracking also affects the battery life, so the manufacturer states that the watch should be charged to at least 40% before going to bed. Incidentally, the feature is only available as a paid premium function.
How about you? Are you going to pay for this feature?
