Reolink introduces a new camera with 2 lenses and 150 ° wide angle view. Many security cameras can be panned and tilted, but the visible one is always somewhat limited. With the Reolink Duo, the manufacturer Reolink wants to change that. The new security camera is available in four versions, both battery-operated and wired.
Reolink Duo – wide field of view with just one camera
Many users know it. You want to equip your own yard or garden with a surveillance camera to quickly identify unwanted people. Most of the time, however, the property is so large that a camera alone is not enough.
Here the Reolink Duo with its 2 wide-angle lenses should step in and eliminate “blind spots”. The two lenses come with 4 megapixel resolution and create a wide-angle view of 150 ° horizontally and 44 ° vertically. The Duo has a person and vehicle recognition and motion sensor (140 °). In addition, of course, LEDs for the spotlight and infrared LEDs for night vision.
Reolink Duo models
The Reolink Duo will be available in four different model variants. Two of them are battery operated, the other two are wired. In the battery-operated devices, the built-in battery has a capacity of 10,400 mAh and can optionally be charged via a solar panel. Otherwise, the only difference between the two variants is the wireless connection. One model comes with dual band WLAN (2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz), the second variant has LTE on board. In the wired models, one comes with WLAN and network connection, the second with PoE connection.
The camera recordings can be saved on an SD card (all models) or an FTP server (wired models). The battery-operated versions of the Reolink Duo record at 15 frames per second, the wired versions at 25 frames per second. The resolution of the videos is given as 2560 x 1440 pixels.
Of course, all models are intended for outdoor use and are therefore protected against dust and water (IP66). The scope of delivery naturally includes all the necessary parts such as power supply unit (4.5 meters), screws, dowels.
