A live presentation is scheduled for October 5 at 7 p.m. for the 20th anniversary of Ubisoft’s iconic franchise.
It has been 20 years sinceUbisoft brought games to life Ghost Recon, inspired by the romantic universe created by the author Tom Clancy. Indeed, in 2001 came the first opus of a long list of 15 games, of which the last, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, was released in 2019. For the occasion, Ubisoft has announced that a celebratory live will be broadcast this same day, at 7 p.m. French time. To watch it, simply click on the video below, or go directly to Youtube.
On the program, a new “project” will be unveiled by the studio. It could be a new game. Ubisoft says: “ Get ready to meet the people behind the franchise, hear never-before-seen anecdotes, receive freebies and a special surprise… with the global reveal of an all-new Ghost Recon project ».
According to rumors posted on Reddit and ResetEra, Ubisoft could go back to its origins by offering a more linear game, instead of the open world used in the last two installments of the franchise. In view of the rather poor success of Breakpoint, that wouldn’t be bad news for many fans, who were hoping for a more guided adventure in his storytelling.
For now, nothing has been confirmed by the company and curious souls will only find an answer by watching tonight’s live.
