ITS World Congress: VW Commercial Vehicles wants to drive autonomously from 2025

The mobility service MOIA has been offering ride pooling in Hamburg for a long time. From 2025, the vehicles will also be driving autonomously there. At the ITS World Congress, the company and VW Commercial Vehicles have now presented a model of the VW ID. BUZZ AD presented. Visitors can take a seat in it and experience on the screen how VW envisions the mobility of the future.

“We see ourselves as partners to cities and with these mobility services we want to make an important contribution to improving urban transport and road safety,” says VWN CFO Michael Obrowski. After the premiere in Hamburg, which is planned for 2025, the vehicles are to be used in other cities in Europe and the USA.

At the 27th ITS World Congress, exhibitors will be showing new traffic systems and services until October 15, plus an extensive congress program focusing on networked and automated driving. The congress center is open to the public on October 24th, the so-called Public Day.
