New partnership with Bayern Munich: Audi now also supports the women of FC Bayern

Audi is now supporting the women’s soccer team of FC Bayern Munich. Audi has been a partner of the FC Bayern soccer team since 2002, and the brand has also been a shareholder in FC Bayern München AG since 2011. In the DFB Cup and in the Champions League, the FCB women will now wear the four rings on their sleeves, as Audi announced. Audi is also already present on the FC Bayern Campus, in the home of the women’s team

Audi sales and marketing director Hildegard Wortmann says: “The soccer players at FC Bayern Munich are outstanding athletes and strong personalities”.

First German championship in 1976

On October 5, the women of FC Bayern started the UEFA Women’s Champions League and played against Benfica Lisbon for the first time with the Audi logo on their jerseys on the Benfica campus in the Portuguese capital. The domestic premiere will take place on October 14th on the FC Bayern Campus in Munich against the Swedish club BK Häcken from Gothenburg.

The women’s football department of FC Bayern Munich, founded on June 7, 1970, is one of the most successful clubs in the division and won the first German championship in 1976. In 2012, the Munich women won the DFB Cup and in 2015, 2016 and most recently in 2021 three other German championships.
