Fujifilm launches an XXL version of its smartphone printer

After the Instax Mini Link, the Fujifilm brand has just formalized a Wide version of its instant printer for smartphones.

Along with its famous instant cameras, Fujifilm has for a few years now launched into the smartphone printer market. After his Instax Mini Link released earlier this year, and which used the brand’s iconic credit card format, the Japanese photo giant is thinking bigger, by announcing its Instax Link Wide, for photos in 86 x 108 mm format.

Designed for lovers of retro photography, the Instax Link Wide printer will allow you to print all the photos from your smartphone as easily as with an instant camera. Compatible with Android and iOS devices, the connected object connects via Bluetooth, and provides up to 100 prints per full charge. With its compact and versatile design,

The photo … better

Obviously, the printer differs from a simple instant device by several interesting options. In addition to allowing photo enhancement and retouching directly from the application, Instax Link Wide prints will also benefit from a QR Code enrichment, allowing you to associate a still image with a video or a sound sample. It will also be possible to add text and draw from the printer interface. The jumble mode will allow you to print several photos on the same image.

Available later this month, the Fujifilm Instax Link Wide Printer will be offered at the retail price of 149,95 $ (129€). Obviously, we must add to this price the photo paper. As is typically the case with instant devices, the device only considers its home movies, which are sold separately for $ 21.99 (€ 19) for 10 prints. At this price, we can still take comfort in knowing that the product comes with its support, wrist strap and micro-USB charging cable. Note that if the Instax Wide films already exist in white (classic) and monochrome (black and white) versions, the release of the Instax Link Wide printer will be an opportunity to take advantage of a new design with black outlines, for even more contrasting photos. This new film will obviously be compatible with the Instax Wide 300 camera.
