Razer Introduces New Seiren V2 Pickup Line For Streamers

Razer today unveiled its two new microphones for streamers and content creators, priced between € 109.99 and € 159.99.

On the eve of RazorCon, the manufacturer’s annual convention taking place online, Razer teased two products: the Razer Seiren V2 Pro and Razer Seiren V2 X microphones. These are two USB condenser microphones. , thought above all for streamers and content creators in order to deliver a particularly natural voice to their audience.

The Seiren V2 X is a supercardioid type microphone, which should therefore provide good isolation against ambient noise coming from the sides and rear. This also includes sounds like mouse clicks, or the clicking of a mechanical keyboard. It also has an analog gain limiter, which should make it possible to avoid the phenomenon of “peaking” and the effects of distortion. It has a 24-bit bit rate which should ensure faithful reproduction of the voice.

Seiren V2 Pro: the same but more robust

As for the Seiren V2 Pro, we are climbing a step in quality (and price). This has a sampling rate of 96 KHz, and a response frequency of 20Hz. It also has a “Better suppression of ambient noise compared to traditional cardioid microphones”, according to the manufacturer. It is also equipped with a high pass filter for “Block unwanted low frequencies” like the ventilation of your PC. Razer goes so far as to talk about recording “Like in a studio with sound insulation”, even if we remain skeptical on this line. Finally, it benefits from the same 24-bit rate.

Like any microphone “streamer”Self-respecting, both models are equipped with a few buttons and potentiometers to easily control the volume, gain, or switch to mute mode. They also have an integrated shock absorber allowing, for example, to avoid an untimely thud in the event of an impact on your desk… and consequently to protect the eardrums of your spectators. They also have a 3.5mm jack to directly monitor the recording using headphones.

Like all models of the brand, they will be compatible with Razer Synapse, Razer’s cloud configuration tool. This offers in particular an audio mixing function, very practical for those who would have a more elaborate installation.

The Razer Seiren V2 Pro and the Razer Seiren V2 X are already available on the Razer website as well as at all authorized resellers. The Seiren V2 X costs € 109.99, while its big brother costs € 159.99.
