27,000 vehicles: Soon there will only be e-company cars at SAP

SAP says goodbye to the combustion engine. From January 2025, anyone who is entitled to a company car from the software company can only order vehicles with emission-free drives, reports the “Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung” with reference to a company spokesman. From the year 2030, the entire vehicle fleet is to be electrified in this way – after all, around 27,000 vehicles are involved.

The emissions from the company car fleet are an important lever for SAP in achieving its own climate targets. The group wants to be climate neutral as early as 2023. The switch to e-cars is therefore “a concrete measure to combat climate change”. According to this, SAP integrated the first e-cars into the fleet in 2010; today, their share is around 20 percent. The plan also includes providing employees with financial support and expanding the charging infrastructure to include company parking spaces. (mer)
