Volkswagen umbrella holding: Porsche SE increases profit in third quarter

The Volkswagen umbrella holding Porsche SE like its significant stake, was able to increase profits in the third quarter. After taxes, Porsche SE generated a mathematical profit of 835 million euros in the months from July to September, as the interim report shows. The Stuttgart-based company thus increased profits by around 9 percent. The DAX company confirmed the forecast for the year. At the end of the year, a profit should be between 3.4 and 4.9 billion euros. After nine months it has so far been 3.3 billion euros.

The main business of Porsche SE is the stake in the Volkswagen Group with 53.3 percent of the voting rights and 31.4 percent of the capital. The owner families Porsche and Pich have bundled their shares in VW in the holding company. The VW group was able to increase the profit attributable to the shareholders in the third quarter by around seven percent to 2.8 billion euros. (dpa-AFX / gem)
