POCO has just presented the latest addition to its M range, the POCO M4 Pro 5g, which is ultra-affordable and efficient.
Just one month after the release of 11T Pro, Xiaomi returns to the charge with a new smartphone. This time, it is its entry-level subsidiary that is adding a new product to its catalog. POCO presents the M4 Pro 5G which is displayed at an aggressive price point and which does not seem to have made any concessions on performance. Designed for mobile gamers, the smartphone is already promising to wreak havoc. To the point of establishing itself as the best value for money on the market?
A cheap gaming smartphone
For mobile gamers, there are many offers in terms of smartphones. But faced with Black Shark or ROG Phone, POCO hopes to stand out thanks to its price list and its solid performance. To offer the best experience to its users, the manufacturer called on MediaTek and thus equips its phones with Mid-range Dimensity 810 processor. The 6 nm chip promises extended battery life, even when powering two 2.5 GHz Cortex-A76 cores, six 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, and a next-gen ARM Mali-G57 MC2 1068 MHz graphics chip . It comes with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage.
A smart FHD + screen
It’s not just under the hood that the POCO M4 Pro 5G has great arguments. The brand understood that display was one of the most important criteria for mobile gamers, and therefore put the small dishes in the big ones to make sure they were satisfied. Thus, the smartphone integrates a dalle IPS Full HD+ with a rate 240 Hz touch sampling. It also displays a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate. Videos will play at 60 frames per second, compared to 25 for movies and up to 90 fps for video games.
Fast charging at 33W Pro
Only 59 minutes. This is the charging time announced by POCO thanks to its 33W Pro technology. The POCO M4 Pro 5G is the first device in the range to benefit from this functionality. The firm announces that in just 10 minutes, users will be able to enjoy 2 hours of video streaming.
Finally, on the side of the photo, LITTLE has not spared its efforts in adopting a 50 Mpx sensor coupled with an 8Mpx ultra wide-angle. The front camera displays 16Mpx. POCO promises creative features like kaleidoscope, slow motion, and time-lapse. Nothing new under the sun, if it is not a software improvement of the pictures that the firm announces spectacular. “Clearer images and breathtaking landscapes”, you will have to wait until you have it on hand to make up your own mind.
On the design side, the POCO M4 Pro 5G changes its recipe a bit by adopting a new arrangement of the sensors at the rear. Otherwise, we find the punch on the front panel, as well as the fingerprint sensor on the locking button. On the scale, it displays just under 195 grams. It is available in three colors: POCO Yellow, Power Black or Cool Blue.
Two configurations are available: 4 Go +64 GO à 229,90 euros Where 6 Go +128 Go à 269,90 euros. For the launch, they are exceptionally displayed respectively at 199 and 219 euros. Which places them largely among the cheapest phones on the market. Whether the promise will live up to the challenge remains to be seen. They will be available from November 11.
