One billion euros: Jost Werke expects record sales in 2021

The commercial vehicle supplier Jost Werke is increasing its targets for 2021 thanks to the humming freight traffic and a strong environment in agriculture. The company, which is listed in the SDax, announced on Thursday in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt am Main that sales should rise by more than 25 percent this year to the record value of one billion euros. The operating profit adjusted for special effects (adjusted EBIT) is even expected to increase by more than 30 percent. So far, CEO Joachim Dürr had promised an increase in the low double-digit percentage range.

In the third quarter, Jost increased sales compared to summer 2020 by almost 28 percent to almost 252 million euros. Adjusted operating profit increased by around a fifth to a good 24 million euros. At 10 million euros, profit after tax was more than twice as high as in the same period of the previous year. Among other things, Jost Werke manufactures fifth wheel and trailer hitches, steering systems for trailers, front loaders and tools for agricultural machinery. (dpa / mer)
